For most, school has begun. Kids have gone. First days have started. Moms have cried. Kids have rejoiced. Teachers have prepped… and it’s all so sudden. Summer lurches to a halt unforgivingly. You hope you did enough this summer to warrant ‘cool parent’ award for the summer. You wonder if you made enough memories, paid enough attention to the subtle nuances of bed-head, mid-week splash pad dates, late nights out mid-week because it was SO not a school night, etc. You hope you traveled enough, relaxed enough, played enough, laughed enough… at least i do.
…I was motivated to launch this promo after watching a grip of mom friends enter their preschoolers into school for their first time, watch their freshman head into their first highschool class, ache a little as they release their young pre-teen to the lions den that we call ‘middle school’… I also have homeschool friends who wrap up summer freedoms and buckle back down to home-made classroom time and their own modiified, custom-designed schooling approach for a year equally packed with changes, growth-spurts and challenges. Life just keeps on going. Whether we like it or not–whether we embrace the change, adjust or even pay attention. That’s why I LOVE my job. I remind people to capture the fleeting things…as gently (mostly) as possible. I charge money to do this simply because its a bit o’ needed bread ‘n’ butter for my family–otherwise i’d do it for free
With that said, I offer my time, energy and dash of creativity to capture a few snapshots of your chillins’ before you’re sending them off to college ‘tomorrow’ and left empty-nested and blind-sided by your empty walls; depressingly picture-less…. I’m staring at my phone now…seriously, what are you waiting for? (Note: these are backyard/parkside/in-the-middle-of-the-street/casual type of sessions. I’ll come to you and keep things chill, convenient and as non-stress as possible!)

(I am all ears and a phone call away to brainstorm about color palattes, prop ideas, styles, etc. For starters: backpacks, school props, sports equipment, favorite supplies, “first-day-favorite” outfits, and special momentos are a few ideas to get your own collection going…)

*Can I puhleeese have a CD of all the pictures? Sure! CD archives are $50 for all edited pictures from your “Back to School” session
What are the best times of day to book a session? Mornings before 10 and in the evening after 4. That’s when the sunlight is uber peachy.
When/How do I pay you? I’ll need a 50% down payment right away to book your session. The total payment is due on the day of the shoot. Just call or email to customize and plan out your session and we’ll take it from there!
