It's a small world after all. Thanks to facebook :) Alisha was referred to me by our good friends, the Zunighas in California and then we found out we had a bunch of mutual friends (yay facebook) and hit it off right away. I enjoyed getting to know their sweet family. Piper was cute as a bugs ear (because we ALL know bug's ears are stinkin cute) and God was kind enough to splatter a few special sunbeams right along our path for some great shots!

This is my favorite time of the year when it comes to photography. I get to hang out with families like the Applemans and laugh my socks off over the funny things that happen during our time together. With this session, Lucy was our laugh. She brought her 'game face' to the shoot and just kept 'em coming. :)

Sarah & Josh are getting married next May and I had the ripe privilege of shooting their engagement pictures while in Central Florida last month. According to Sarah's mom, there is WAY too much kissing going on in these pictures. But I'm pretty sure Sarah just nodded and say, 'Yup! It's perfect.' Sarah & Josh, thank you so much for letting me hang out with you two for an afternoon, get up 'in your business', ask you to smooch more often than might be healthy, and all that stuff that makes me smile about my job. We're just gonna have check and see if we get to hang out again...oh, like say, next May?! ;)

I have never met a man who smiles as much as John Webb does. That grin is so notorious that it even made the best man's speech. Furthermore, he makes his new bride laugh more than I can stand. (audible giggle) And no joke, my face hurts due to the goofy ear-to-ear grin I had while editing these wedding highlights. So so thankful I got to be a part of their day! Traipsin' through the pumpkin patches with this crew was overwhelming (cough) i mean, fantastic! lol Dunnellon apparently takes it's pumpkin pickin' quite seriously. It's patch stretches for ACRES and includes a sunflower patch, hay ride, hay slides and a cluster of fall activities for more kid fun. The Richardson clan strutted they wild and wonderful antics as they snatched up their favorite pepo.

Headed to Florida. . .

Last fall, almost exactly a year ago, my daughter and I packed our bags and shot over to my favorite little river city of Dunnellon, Central Florida. It was a whirlwind trip packed with a grip of fun portrait sessions and short-but-sweet reunions with relatives (my mom's side of the family lives there). I was giddy over the tree moss and the cool backdrop the Rainbow River provided. I swear the sky is bigger in Florida and it's sunsets are breathtaking. I tried to snag a few shots of water cranes, otters and even alligators that come to play in front of my Grandma's house. It was tough and i wasn't fast enough most of the time...which makes me REALLY excited that i get to return this October! So yes, rumor's true. LKM is headed to Florida and will be there for the month of October ! Go HERE for more details :)
